Welcome to JPC

Josh Powell Camp is Atlanta's longest running fall break camp, serving families across the greater Atlanta area for over 50 years.

Our fall camp gives kids ages 5 to 10 real outdoor adventure during their school break, whether their district breaks in September, October or the week of Thanksgiving.

Located in Acworth, Georgia, our fall break camp offers daily bus pickup from three convenient locations, or you can drive your campers to our scenic 30 acre campus. With archery, hayrides, swimming, canoeing and fort building, we are the fall break camp Atlanta families come back to year after year.

Unlike indoor play centers or screen heavy camps, Josh Powell gets kids OUTSIDE for real adventure. Autumn is the best time of year for outdoor camp in Georgia.

The summer heat has broken, the leaves are turning, and kids can run, explore and play all day without wilting.

Our fall break camps in Atlanta pair classic camp activities with the seasonal fun that makes autumn camp feel different from summer.

When Is Fall Break in Georgia?

Our Sessions Cover Every District

Fall break in Georgia is not one single week. Districts across metro Atlanta schedule it differently, which is exactly why we run three separate fall break camp sessions instead of one.

September 21 to 25, 2026

For districts taking their fall break in late September.

October 12 to 16, 2026

For districts breaking in mid October, the most common fall break week across metro Atlanta.

November 23 and 24, 2026

The two school days before Thanksgiving, when most districts close but most workplaces do not.

Every session runs 8am to 3pm with the same activities, the same counselors and the same free bus service from three Atlanta pickup points. Each is available as a 2, 3, 4 or 5 day booking, so you only pay for the days your child actually needs.

Not sure when your district breaks? Read our guide to 2026 fall break dates for Georgia schools, or text us at and we will tell you which session fits your family.

How Much Does Fall Break Camp in Atlanta Cost?

Fall break camp pricing across Atlanta varies a lot depending on hours, activities and what is bundled in. Here is exactly what a session at Josh Powell Camp costs, with nothing hidden.

2 day session: $200
