Fall Break Camp Atlanta

Josh Powell Camp is Atlanta's premier fall break camp, located in Acworth, GA — just 30 minutes north of Atlanta. We offer convenient bus pickup from three locations across metro Atlanta (Trinity Presbyterian on Moores Mill Rd, Kairos Church at I-285 & Riverside, and Roswell Cultural Arts Center) or you can drive directly to our scenic 30-acre campus at 5242 Wade Green Rd NW, Acworth, GA 30102.

Unlike indoor fall break camps, Josh Powell Camp gets kids outside for real outdoor adventure in October's perfect Georgia weather. We've been Atlanta's trusted fall camp for over 50 years, offering activities like archery, swimming, canoeing, hayrides, pumpkin fun, and fort building. Our experienced teacher-led staff and 30-acre outdoor campus make us the best fall break camp in Atlanta.

Our goal is to make fall break camp affordable for every Atlanta family. We offer flexible pricing for our fall camp:

• $200 / 2-day session

• $300 / 3-day session

• $400 / 4-day session

• $500 / 5-day session

Bus pickup is included from three Atlanta-area locations, or you can drive to our Acworth campus.

Kids aged 5-10 are welcome at our Atlanta fall break camp! Josh Powell Camp is the ideal place for your students to learn and have fun during October, whether this is their first fall camp or they're seasoned adventurers. We group kids by age to ensure age-appropriate activities and friend-making opportunities.

We're located at 5242 Wade Green Rd NW, Acworth, GA 30102 — a scenic 30-acre campus just 30 minutes from Atlanta. We offer daily bus pickup and drop-off from three convenient locations:

• Trinity Presbyterian Church — 3003 Moores Mill Rd NW, Atlanta

• Kairos Church — I-285 & Riverside Dr, Atlanta

• Roswell Cultural Arts Center — 950 Forrest St, Roswell

You can also drive directly to our Acworth campus if that's more convenient.

For fall camp, we recommend your child bring:

• Weather-appropriate clothing (layers are great for October!)

• Closed-toe shoes (sneakers or hiking boots)

• Water bottle

• Packed lunch and snacks

• Light jacket or sweatshirt (mornings can be cool)

• Sunscreen (yes, even in fall!)

We'll send you a complete packing list when you register.

Josh Powell Camp is a day camp, not an overnight camp. Campers arrive each morning (either via bus pickup or parent drop-off) and go home each afternoon. We do not offer overnight fall camp in Atlanta — all our fall break camp sessions are day camp programs running from approximately 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM daily.

Fall break dates vary by district across metro Atlanta. Some schools break in late September, most break in mid October, and nearly all close for the two days before Thanksgiving. Because there is no single fall break week in Georgia, we run three separate sessions in September, October and November so families can book whichever one matches their district's calendar.

Yes. We run a two day session on November 23 and 24, 2026, covering the school days before Thanksgiving. Most Atlanta districts close for the full week while most workplaces stay open, which leaves a lot of parents scrambling for two days of care. Campers get the same activities, counselors and bus service as any other session.
