Winter Break Camp Atlanta

Josh Powell Camp is Atlanta's premier winter break camp, located in Acworth, GA — just 30 minutes north of Atlanta. We offer convenient bus pickup from three locations across metro Atlanta (Trinity Presbyterian on Moores Mill Rd, Kairos Church at I-285 & Riverside, and Roswell Cultural Arts Center) or you can drive directly to our scenic 30-acre campus at 5242 Wade Green Rd NW, Acworth, GA 30102.

Unlike indoor winter break camps, Josh Powell Camp gets kids outside for real outdoor adventure — even in December! We've been Atlanta's trusted winter camp for over 50 years, offering activities like archery, pony rides, hayrides, a petting zoo, and even a visit from Santa. Our experienced teacher-led staff and 30-acre outdoor campus make us the best winter break camp in Atlanta.

Our goal is to make winter break camp affordable for every Atlanta family. We offer flexible pricing for our winter camp at $100/day for 2-5 day camps.

Bus pickup is included from three Atlanta-area locations, or you can drive to our Acworth campus.

Kids aged 5-10 are welcome at our Atlanta winter break camp! Josh Powell Camp is the ideal place for your students to learn and have fun during December, whether this is their first winter camp or they're seasoned adventurers. We group kids by age to ensure age-appropriate activities and friend-making opportunities.

We're located at 5242 Wade Green Rd NW, Acworth, GA 30102 — a scenic 30-acre campus just 30 minutes from Atlanta. We offer daily bus pickup and drop-off from two convenient locations:

• Trinity Presbyterian Church — 3003 Moores Mill Rd NW, Atlanta

• Kairos Church — I-285 & Riverside Dr, Atlanta

You can also drive directly to our Acworth campus if that's more convenient.

Safety is our top priority at Josh Powell's winter break camp. Our counselors are college students and elementary school teachers who have all passed thorough background checks and been trained to supervise campers. We maintain low camper-to-counselor ratios and follow all safety protocols for outdoor activities.

For winter camp, we recommend your child bring:

• Weather-appropriate clothing (layers are great for December!)

• Closed-toe shoes (sneakers or hiking boots)

• Water bottle

• Packed lunch and snacks

• Jacket or sweatshirt

• Sunscreen (yes, even in winter!)
