Let Your Kids Experience Camp the Way You Did

We know how hard it is to keep your kids entertained during the summer. These days, it's easy for everything to revolve around screens, and before you know it, the entire summer is wasted staring at a device.

Josh Powell Camp is the perfect place to bring your children ages 5–10 and let them get back to really being kids, exploring, creating, and playing outdoors from 8am to 3pm every day.

Our counselors are energetic Elementary School Teachers and College Students who are committed to making this the best summer ever for your children.

They're background-checked, trained, and genuinely passionate about what they do.

What Makes Josh Powell Camp Special

We know how hard it is to keep your kids entertained during the summer. We've been running summer camp in Atlanta for over 50 years.

In that time, we've learned what really matters to parents and what kids actually remember when they look back on their childhood.

Here's what sets us apart from every other camp option in the Atlanta area:.

No Technology Policy - Kids are required to leave all electronics at home. Real outdoor play, not screen time — the way childhood should be.

Family-Owned Since 1972 - We're not a corporate franchise. We're a local family that's been serving Atlanta families for over five decades.

Teacher-Led Staff - Our counselors are experienced elementary school teachers and college students who genuinely love working with kids.

Year-Round Camps - We run camps during every school break — fall, winter, spring, and of course all summer long, and we are always looking to add new programs!
